NABC Community Ministries
WHO WE WILL SERVE
The NABC Community Ministries is a nonprofit corporation and is organized to offer Senior Citizen Care, Tutoring, Food Distribution and other programs to aid those in need. The programs will serve the community.
Youth identified as “at risk” are children with parents or guardians who work or otherwise not regularly available to provide supervision during the out-of school hours. These children are at greater risk of truancy, poor grades, stress, and risk taking behavior. The tutoring program will be provided after school. The children can learn necessary life skills, relax, thrive for academic excellent in a safe environment.
Senior Citizen care will be provided for the elderly. The program will entail transportation for the elderly to and from locations such as doctor visits, church, treatment centers, grocery shopping to ensure that the elderly can remain self-sufficient. Individuals that are homebound a care worker will visit weekly or as needed in order to provide assistance.
The program will be supervised and directed by members of the CORPORATION and members of the community, families will feel comfortable participating. The comfort level will be expanded with extension of an invitation for parents to participate in enjoyable social and cultural activities and parent educational workshops. Motivation is a critical emphasis. We believe that we can effectively communicate our stated goals of the program and couple them with the desired outcomes; develop realistic approaches to achieve the stated goals; and with the mutual commitment made between the participants and the CORPORATION, we can ensure successful participation in the NABC Community Ministries.
WHAT ARE THE SERVICES WE ARE OFFERING?
The NABC Ministries is a program designed to aid the senior citizens, the poor and disadvantaged in the community to assist in enhancing their lifestyles. It provides a healthy program with educational and cultural. The primary focus of the program will be the availability, affordability, accessibility and quality of structured program to provide enrichment to the community.
The Senior Citizen Care Program will provide the elderly with assistance. Transportation will be provided to transport the elderly. Homebound care will be given to individuals that can not leave home in order to remain self-sufficient. Meals will be provided for those individuals who can not prepare their own meal.
The NABC Ministries Program believe in helping the disadvantaged and the poor. In order to help the poor, disadvantaged and the needy, a Food Bank will be established.
