New Adka Community Development Center, Incorporated, was formed in Dadeville, Alabama, in 2003, and received 50l(c)(3) status in August 2017. Our charitable organization serves residents of the New Adka Community and surrounding areas. We provide nutritional, health, and wellness information, recreation, meals, and educational programs for those we serve, particularly youth and senior citizens.

WHAT OUTCOMES ARE YOU COMMITTED TO ACHIEVING?

  • To assist in producing healthy, productive and successful youth in the area
  • To reduce the incidence of truancy and delinquency among high risk youth aged 7-18
  • To improve grade point average, disciplinary referrals and promotion
  • To increase test scores by one quartile
  • 100% of the youth will have continued participation in the program.
  • 95% of the youth will demonstrate improved skills in communication, academics and behavior.
  • To assist the Senior Citizens with remaining self-sufficient
  • To provide food to the disadvantaged on a regular basis and when disasters occur
  • To provide transportation to senior citizens and the disadvantaged
  • To encourage time for friendships and develop positive relationships with staff, volunteers and members
  • To provide a safe, comfortable place for children to learn

Daily Schedule of Activities:

3:30 – 4:00 – Arrival and Greetings
4:00 – 5:00 – Tutorial Assistance & Homework
5:00 – 5:15 – Snack
5:15- 6:00 – Tutorial Assistance & Homework


Additional Information:

The Food Bank will benefit those individuals that are unable to provide nutrition to their family. The Food Bank will also assist individuals through difficulties and disasters that randomly occur.


Each youth in the program will be involved in a broad range of educational activities.


Education will be focused on the completion of homework, ongoing assessment of needs based on student performance, and participation in other extra-curricular activities.
